About This Game:
Toon War is a colorful, dual-controller shooter game where you fight to liberate peaceful villages from enemy forces. Play as a military vehicle or drone, defeat enemies, rescue hostages, and defuse bombs.
Explore diverse environments such as snow, water, and air, and face challenging boss battles in various game modes like running and survival. Upgrade your weapons, armor, speed, and skills to become stronger.

Most objectives involve eliminating all enemies before opening a portal to the next area. To accomplish this, players need to aim using the left joystick and fire by pressing the right joystick in the desired direction.
Power-up items scattered throughout the game allow players to double or triple fire, or use flamethrowers or lasers. These are basic items you’ve probably seen countless times before, and the simple level design doesn’t do the game justice. Each world has its own unique features, some better than others.
The Forest level might require you to rescue hostages and defend a bridge, while the Ice level will slow you down as you progress through snowy terrain. The problem is that most of these levels rely on improving specific aspects of your driving skills, making it nearly impossible to get through them without proper upgrades. The game’s balance could have been significantly improved, or at least a greater difficulty level could have been added.
Story Toon War Switch NSP:
I put the word “terrorist” in quotation marks because the game doesn’t fit the stereotypical portrayal of people of Middle Eastern descent. The characters resemble caricatures of terrorists you might see in an episode of “South Park” or a bad movie from the early 2000s.
Ironically, the gameplay mechanics are probably the least engaging part of this cartoonish war game. I asked myself, “Who is this game for?” It’s simply about moving the tank with one joystick and firing with the other.
