About F-Zero 99 NSP:
F-Zero 99 NSP is a free-to-play racing game for the Nintendo Switch and is a spiritual successor to the classic F-Zero game released in 1990. Set in the distant future, the game sees players aim for first place in fast-paced, thrilling races while avoiding countless deadly traps and hazards along the way.
More than twenty years after the release of F-Zero, its spiritual successor, F-Zero 99, retains its core look and gameplay. You’ll compete against 98 other racing drivers, and with that many, chaos is inevitable. There will be two main championships: the Grand Prix and the Mini Grand Prix, each with its own qualifying rounds.
Speed is at the heart of F-Zero 99, and you’ll have countless opportunities to outdo your opponents using collectible superpowers and speed boosters. To heighten the challenge, things can quickly turn physical as cars collide. Defend yourself with turn attacks to avoid being veered off course and losing speed due to head-on collisions.
You can also collect Super Sparks that create a special shortcut called the “Paradise Path,” which allows you to jump over multiple opponents. Additional features include “Team Battle” and “Pro Tracks” modes for a fun break from the regular tournaments. Note that this game is currently available to Nintendo Switch Online members, so you’ll need a subscription to play.
