Developed by Grove Street Games and published by Rockstar Games, it’s part of the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition collection. In this version of GTA: Vice City – Definitive, the developers aim to preserve Vice City’s core narrative and gameplay while upgrading the lighting, textures, view distances, and control schemes (borrowed from GTA V) to more modern standards.
You take on the role of Tommy Vercetti, recently released from prison and sent to Vice City to expand his criminal empire. Set against the backdrop of a neon-lit tropical city in 1986, the narrative is propelled by betrayal, power struggles, and fast cars.
While the nostalgic tone is strong, this version is aimed at a mature audience: it frequently features violence, gore, crime, and other mature themes.
